Special
remarks:
Crandon Golf Course is a championship 18-hole golf course
located on the island of Key Biscayne.
Designed in 1972 by Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin and
redesigned by von Hagge in 1993.
One
unusual feature that you will encounter as you maneuver
through the course is the multitude of Iguanas that dot
some of the holes along Biscayne Bay. You may also
encounter a Crocodile along the way.
This
18-hole championship course is one of the top public
golf courses in America. Crandon Golf Key Biscayne is
considered one of the most beautiful and challenging
par-72 courses in Florida. It was rated in the top ten
courses by Golfweek, and recognized as one of America's
top 75 upscale courses by Golf Digest. Over the years,
Crandon Golf Key Biscayne has hosted a long line of
nationally televised PGA Champions Tour events.
The course offers a unique playing experience featuring
seven saltwater lakes, challenging sand traps, mangrove
thickets, and holes overlooking Biscayne Bay. It’s the
only course with a subtropical lagoon in North America. It
also has a fully stocked pro shop, cart and equipment
rentals, pro lessons, a lighted driving range, and
practice chipping and putting greens. The
newly renovated restaurant offers lunch and snacks daily.
