Special
remarks:
The Miami Shores Country
Club features a classic 18-hole championship layout built
by the famed architect Red Laurence. The Club has been
host to a number of prestigious events including the
Florida State Open.
Celebrities
such as Bob Hope, Joe DiMaggio, Arnold Palmer, Sam Snead
and Lee Trevino have graced the lush fairways. The front
nine, which calls for precise approach shots into small
well bunkered, contoured greens, will provide exciting
rounds for players of all abilities.
The first green is
not very deep and approach shots that carry beyond the
green will find the water, so play it safe and you will
get off to a good start. The incoming nine
calls for well placed tee shots.
This course is very
playable for all levels of golfers. One very unique aspect
of this course is the railroad that runs through it. The
answer to your "question" is NO! - You don't have
to play the ball as it lies if you land on the tracks; you
may drop your ball within one club length from the nearest
point of relief, not nearer the hole.
The dinning room and
lounge overlook the course and the view is great.
