Special remarks:

You Can Lead a Golfer to Water, But Can You Make Them Think?

The Preserve was designed and sculpted with exceptional care and respect for the natural Florida wetlands.  The result is a challenging course where water is omni-present (affecting play directly on 9 holes) yet ultimately quite playable.

Charming bridges (11 of them), lush landscaping, ancient oaks, tall pines, and wetlands wildlife are abundant.  Birdies fly,  both winged and spherical!  A genuine preserve feel has been captured by the course designer.

  Think, plan, and play …

Don't fool around on your tee shot on Nonsense Creek 1st Hole.  You'll need to carry the creek and take full advantage of the generous landing area – that will set you up nicely for a short approach to a receptive green.

Mount Matthew 6th Hole, all 60 ft. of Mount Matthew looms large as a unique obstacle in an otherwise gentle (if watery) course.  Trouble lurks in all directions and big hitters will be tempted to drive the green.  Hint:  It's longer than it looks!

Cotton Mouth 9th Hole will challenge your ability to remain calm in the face of striking danger.  It senses fear.  Wetlands and water to your left, you'll need to lay up short of Nonsense Creek to make par.

The Rattler 16th Hole (a difficult par 5), is known for snow.  Snow in Florida?  Yes, if you aren't smart with your club selection and don't plan carefully, you could make a Snowman!

Newly grassed with Champion Bermuda
Players frequently express an appreciation for The Preserve's excellent lay out, its natural wetland beauty, and the fact that you must really think your way through the course.

Great scores are possible, but only achievable by careful club selection and well thought out strategies.

Scenic vistas abound …

While you may walk this course, thereby taking full advantage of your preserve experience, consideration for the length of the course is advised.

The course has a definite links feel, and the successful player will plan carefully, use strategy in favor of boldness, and be ever mindful of club selection.

Choose the appropriate tees (from 3 sets) to suit your game and desire for challenge.

Does your favorite ‘Florida' feature more turf than surf?  Then you are in the right place.

Sink your putt, take a deep breath…
And get ready for the next hole, which will certainly be an adventure worth anticipating.
Natural vistas and backdrops worthy of a Hollywood set will create memories that will last far and away beyond the 19th hole.

“Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you.”  Frank Lloyd Wright
